When the Midlothian Turnpike was closed off to Batchelors Grove cemetery in the 1960s plans for a new entrance were being considered. It was to be a roadway coming off of 143rd street and having an entrance to the cemetery on the east side. These plans never went into effect due to the terrain of the forest preserves. Until a better copy is obtained for on-line viewing it is better to visit the Tinley Park Historical Society at 6727 W. 174th Street, Tinley Park, IL 60477
